Meratus Mountains & Loksado

Meratus UNESCO Global Geopark in South Kalimantan encompasses an ancient ophiolite geological formation older than the Alps. In Loksado, situated in the verdant river valleys of Meratus, travelers embark on traditional bamboo rafts crafted from locally harvested bamboo trunks lashed together with rattan vines. Skilled local jockeys steer through gentle rapids and serene river bends framed by primary rainforest, sacred Dayak Balai longhouses, and cinnamon and black orchid plantations.

Fly to Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin (BDJ), followed by a picturesque 3.5-hour private scenic drive to Loksado.
